Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and ParkIDx ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using ParkIDx you accept them. If you use ParkIDx for a property, company or association, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.

2. What ParkIDx does

ParkIDx lets you keep a private list of vehicle tags for a property and check whether a parked vehicle is registered on that list, by typing the tag or scanning it with your camera. ParkIDx does not tow, ticket, enforce, or make decisions for you. Scan results are informational, and camera reading can be wrong — always confirm a tag yourself before acting on it.

3. Accounts and members

The person who creates an account is its owner. Owners may invite admins and scanners, and choose which vehicle details each scanner can see. You are responsible for your members' activity, for keeping sign-in credentials secret, and for removing members who should no longer have access. Accounts are for people 18 and older.

4. Free trial

New accounts get one 7-day free trial with no card required. The trial is offered once per account owner. When it ends, access to scanning and vehicle records pauses until you start a paid plan.

5. Plans, billing and renewal

ParkIDx Pro costs $50 per month or $400 per year in U.S. dollars, plus any tax required where you are. One plan covers the account, including unlimited vehicle tags, unlimited scans and unlimited staff scanners. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your saved payment method for each renewal.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. Switching between monthly and yearly takes effect as described on the Billing page at the time you switch.

6. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, your access continues for a 3-day grace period while the payment is retried. If it is still unpaid after that, access pauses until the payment method is updated. Your data is kept during this time, subject to section 9.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from the Billing page. Cancelling stops future renewals and keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for. Payments already made are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we agree otherwise in writing. If you were charged in error, email parkidx@gmail.com and we will make it right.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use ParkIDx to track, profile, harass or monitor the movements of people;
• upload tag or resident information you have no right to use;
• share access with people outside your property or organization;
• attempt to reach another account's data, or to probe, scrape or overload the service;
• use ParkIDx for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaks local parking or privacy rules.

We may suspend an account that puts other customers, residents or the service at risk.

9. Your data

The vehicle and resident information you enter stays yours. We process it to run ParkIDx for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Scan and activity logs are kept for up to 90 days, and older records are removed automatically. You can export or delete your records anytime, and we delete account data after an account is closed.

10. Availability

We work to keep ParkIDx available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, network problems, phone camera limitations or third-party outages can interrupt use. ParkIDx is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, towing or enforcement decisions, or disputes with residents or visitors. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or our pricing. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and continuing to use ParkIDx after that means you accept them. You may stop using ParkIDx anytime. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts located there.
